AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 WORDS

Ok so I stumbled across https://sahdandproud.wordpress.com/2012/01/22/around-the-world-in-80-words/ and decided to participate, well how hard can it be to write 80 words? Errr actually bloody hard, for someone who holds a daily quota of near 12,000 inside her, that need using up before being able to retire of an evening!
So Manchester, ok not technically abroad but as foreign to a Southerner as any country I’ve visited can be, and that includes Africa, America and Norway to name a few !

Manchester a diverse, buzzing city, with friendly people who make you feel welcome; you just can’t understand them…what does sorted, owt or barm cake mean? Home to Manchester United the greatest football team in the world, but supported by fans from..., well anywhere other than Manchester! Full of ‘Northern Monkey’s' listening to Oasis and girls who ‘dress up’to go shopping with their hair in rollers! Constant wet climate but beautiful scenery close by! A must visit, just bring an interpreter and passport!

  2. You forgot the 'moofins'! Are you sure there are muffins up there? I'm not traipsing up from the relative tropical heat of darkest Oxfordshire to see you if there aren't any... S'pose I could bring my own...along with the passport and Southern/Northern dictionary. xx
